Web presence

The website for Andy Sturgeon landscape and garden design is modern and artistic, matching the companies design philosophy very well. Colour and font have been chosen well and give the site a feel of completion and togetherness. When opening the website there is a small paragraph letting the website user know the companies design ethos straight away. I think this is a very important feature of the website.

Images at the bottom of the page only allow you to see parts of the final design (Andysturgeon, 2010)

The website contains many high quality photographs that show macro images of completed garden designs. This is extremely frustrating because on many occasions you are not able to see an entire design, you see all the little bits and have to try and piece them together in your mind. It would be really nice to see the final plan or pictures of a model, so that you get a feel for the arrangement of space.
Website navigation can be difficult at times when looking at images of the gardens, but generally navigation is clear highlighting important features of the company in useful tabs at the top of the screen. The picture on each page relates to the text well and gives the site a succinct layout.
Overall the website design relates to the companies design ideas and gives people a very good idea of what the company likes and what they are capable of achieving with their designs.
